Tiles and Tiny Books

Thought you might enjoy seeing a bit more from Belle's Nest.  Unfortunately, I didn't get the name of the person that made these amazing tiles.  I believe it is someone from Sierra Madre, but will update this post once I find out.

I do know that the pretty books are from the creative mind of Julie Pop.  I know this because, after snapping this photo on an earlier visit, I was fortunate to meet Julie, who (coincidentally) is a friend of my friend Petrea (of Pasadena Daily Photo).  Did you follow all that?  Anyway, after Petrea introduced me to Julie one thing was very clear.  Julie and her books are both delightful.

  3. Yeah, those had to be Julie's books. She's also got some lovely stuff at A Penny for Your Thoughts in Pasadena, on Hill just north of Washington. One of my favorite stores in Pasadena.

    1. I didn't realize her books were there, too! I've been wanting to go back to PFYT. The books I got there were a big hit with the kids!

  4. I believe the tiles were made by Soozee Van Dyke and Tracy Chamberlin of Ramona Paloma Tile Studios in Sierra Madre. Their work is really beautiful, isn't it?

    1. Thank you for the info, Tonja! I looked them up, and they have a really interesting business!! I'll have to go in and get a few more pictures of their tiles, and do a post on them. Plus, I need to get an orang-kitty tile!
