Cactus Garden

This garden is a favorite sight of mine, when I'm out walking.  I love how it looks different at different times of the year.

"I bought a cactus.  A week later it died.  And I got depressed because I thought, Damn.  I am less nurturing than a desert."

(p.s.  This has happened to me...)

  1. I must be very nourishing. Not only is my cactus doing well, half my back yard is rife with weeds.

  2. A beautiful garden. I have a prickly pear growing that came with the house. It's doing well despite near total neglect. It seems a little out of place here in NW Florida though.

    1. I like prickly pear. After losing our avocado tree, I have the perfect yard for cacti. I should reconsider - very drought tolerant!

  3. Funny quote! Mr. LOL is a fan of cactus. Just asked him if ours are still alive and he said, 'No.'. Oh dear! (Your clock caught my eye. I thought the time was an hour out. I didn't realise your clocks had changed recently. Now I know. Thanks!).

    1. See - Mr. LOL and I have something in common! Yes, we've just had our time change. Very rough in the morning, but so pleasant in the p.m.!

  4. Wonderful shot! I love those round ones, though I admit I've also managed to kill cactus. How nice to know it's not just me!

    1. Thanks. I do too. There's an amazing cactus garden nearby, at the Huntington Gardens. Really beautiful.

    1. I might want century plants. I have no idea how to move them without losing an eye, though.
