Daydreams

These beautiful warm days we've been enjoying have me fast-forwarding to the summer ahead, while simultaneously thinking back to the happy summers of my childhood.  These long, lazy summers included trips to the beach with my family and, in later years, trips to the beach with my friends (where my red VW Beetle would encounter "relatives" like the one pictured above).

What?  Too soon to think about summer?  Okay, it won't be easy, but I'll use some self-control and wait until March before I start planning how to spend my summer vacation.

  3. Looking forward to summer in Coventry is not recommended. I am just trying to remember if we had a summer last year???? Just joking. It is probably better here to look forward to events that are not weather related. Then each day will be a big 'surprise'! Love that van.

    1. I like that idea. If you can't count on weather, count on non-weather-related events. :)

  4. Plan it now! Then you've something to look forward to, haha! VW vans were quite the common sight in my childhood beachy days. All with some old surfboard on top, ah. Summer hurry up!:) (Also LOL at LOLfromPasa's comment on summer in Coventry, haha)

    1. Good point, Lulu! I'm so ready for a few very, very lazy days! VW vans were very cool - still are! I had this red beetle that we had to jumpstart on PCH on several occasions. Ah. The good old days!
