December Skies

This was the lovely blue sky that greeted us earlier this week.  Soon after, it got gloomy and cold again, but for a short, glorious while, this was our weather reality.

Whenever the sky looks like this after a rain, I can't help but think of ELO's "Mr. Blue Sky."

Side Note:  Please don't judge me for loving Electric Light Orchestra.  They sold 50 million records, so I can't possibly have been the only one (circa late 70's/early 80's), happily driving along with their cheery and, dare I say, creative music in my eight-track!

  1. What a beautiful sky!!! We've had grey skies pretty much since we've been back up here...What happened to our blue skies in between snow storms???

    1. Isn't that amazing, Chieftess?! I didn't do even the teeniest bit of editing to it. I don't think I've ever seen one quite like that...

  2. I miss that blue. As for ELO, I've got a few questionable favorite tunes of my own. Ok, more than a few.

    1. It was brief, but spectacular. I guess we all have our secret favorites. This is certainly not my one and only!

  3. I've had to swear to a couple of people that I didn't tweak today's photo. Sometimes it's just like that around here.

If you don't knock my Zeppelin, I won't knock your ELO.

    1. No tweaking required...

Sounds like a fair plan. I like your Zeppelin, too, but mostly only the entry level, light stuff. I'm a lightweight...

  4. That is a gorgeous shot, Adele. I can just see a tad of those great mountains there too on the left, I think!

    1. Thank you LOL, but I for sure can't take credit. Truly a point and shoot moment! :)
