Last night, Sierra Madre again hosted the seventh annual Wine and Jazz Walk, to benefit cancer research at the City of Hope.
Among other activities, participants were treated to wine, and live jazz, while strolling through local shops and businesses, and viewing classic cars. The event promised to be a wonderful time for all.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend, but I was able to catch a glimpse of this cool truck, brought in by the presenting sponsor, the San Antonio Winery. San Antonio, owned by the Riboli Family, and in business since 1917, is the maker of one of my favorites, Maddalena Merlot. The winery in downtown L.A. is a great place to go for lunch and wine tasting. It's especially nice during the holidays, when all of the wine casks are decorated with white twinkle lights.
I'm really hoping to get to the Wine and Jazz Walk next year. It's such an important cause. Not to mention the opportunity to drink wine while shopping. Really, it's a win-win.
