Scarecrow Festival: The Face of Autumn

No spring nor summer beauty hath such grace,
as I have seen in one autumnal face.

Oh, this is such a beautifully autumnal face, isn't it?  The more I look at this Scarecrow Festival entry, by local florist Leonora Moss, the more amazed I am.  It's no wonder this entry was the first place winner for "Best Representation of Business."  My photo doesn't show even half of the glorious detail in this work of art, but from the first glimpse at the Pot for a Head you're left smiling at all the special touches.

And speaking of glorious feats, a hearty shout-out goes to the team that put our City Daily Photo blog portal back together.  It couldn't be done for Humpty Dumpty, but with a lot of work and dedication, it was done for us, and they deserve the most heartfelt of thanks.  If you'd like to see the new page, with all of its cool features, and links to Daily Photos from all around the world, please click here.

  3. That's a great quote. I'll have to dig up a John Donne poem that used to be my favorite.

I just caught up on your October posts, each one wonderful. More reasons to love fall!
