Broderick Crawford Would Be Proud

From the 4th of July Parade

This 1955 Buick was beautifully restored to look almost exactly like the iconic CHP Car from the 1950's TV series, "Highway Patrol."

Owned by Gary Goltz, who may well be the show's biggest fan.

  1. I love it. The scene has been set, Adele, and I enjoyed stepping back in time.

  3. Now that is a fantastic vintage car. From the link, Goltz is one truly dedicated individual! (And that background to me screams California somehow - oh I do miss being back on the West coast sometimes :)

    1. He really is. Funny how the dark day made the picture look old-timey. Maybe we should trade coasts!

  5. Highway patrol is such a great show. I found it plays on some weird off station (regular TV for me). Like Chips from the 70's but better because all the highway shots take place 20 years earlier. So much more undeveloped

    1. I love the weird off stations - will have to look for Highway Patrol. I like the old shows with the glimpses of our land from long ago. At this point, my main police "drama" knowledge comes from mass consumption of The Andy Griffith Show. On a weird side note, I heard the other day that The Rockford Files is a great place to see old shots of L.A.
